Garry Louz
Since 1 September 2026
Garry Louz (1958) was born in Paramaribo. He studied Communication at Ichtus Hogeschool (now Inholland University of Applied Sciences), Newspaper Copy Editing at the Forum voor Journalistiek Utrecht, and Strategic Human Resource Management at Bestuursacademie Nederland.
He is retired from the Ministry of Defence, where he led a team of twenty employees in the Operational IT Procurement department for fifteen years.
In January 2025, he joined the board of the Foundation for the Remembrance of Slavery / Global Indigenous, with responsibility for HR and Policy. On 1 September 2026, he stepped down from this position to join the foundation’s Advisory Council.
